Itongadol.- Results released by Israel\’s Central Elections Committee on Thursday confirmed a big win for the right-wing Likud party of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu over the center-left Zionist Union.
The Likud won 30 of the 120 seats in parliament compared to 24 for the Zionist Union.
Right-wing and religious parties, including the center-right Kulanu, won a total of 67 seats against 53 for centrist, left-wing and Arab parties.
Voter turnout was 72.3 percent or 4,253,336 people, a significant increase over previous elections. 4,209,467 of those votes were registered as valid and counted.
The committee described the figures as "almost final," saying theofficial results would be published on March 25 after different checks had been carried out and complaints of voting irregularities investigated.
